For this DIY craft, you’ll need:
- Peel-n-Stick wallpaper of choice from Dollar Tree
- A 10″ wood round from Dollar Tree
- Paint in two colors of choice
- A designed graphic or reusable stencil
- Faux greenery or florals
- Small piece of ribbon
- Hot glue
- Duck Tape
- Sandpaper or Electric Sander
These are the steps to take.
- The first thing you’ll want to do is pick the peel-n-stick wallpaper you want.
- Then grab any wood round you’d like. I used one of these from Dollar Tree.
- Remove the jute string from it and lightly sand the surface.
- After you dust the surface well, paint the entire thing in the color of choice. I chose white, and used Waverly Chalk paint in the white.
- Once dry, take the graphic you’d like or the reusable stencil of choice and stencil it directly in the middle of the wood round. I chose a farmhouse reusable stencil.
- You can stencil it with the color paint you’d like or that compliments the color and design of the peel-n-stick wallpaper you are using. I chose Moss Green by Waverly.
- Next, you’ll want to cut two strips of the peel-n-stick wallpaper to fit one on the bottom and one on top of the wood round.
- Remove the paper on the back of the wallpaper and place one on top of the graphic and one underneath. Press firmly until the wallpaper is fully attached.
- Using sandpaper or an electric sander, sand off the edges to remove excess paper and leave a smooth edge.
- For an added distressed look, you can also lightly sand the wallpaper design. This is completely optional.
- Now you can add any florals or greenery you’d like. I kept it natural and used greenery, but you can use whatever you’d like and whatever coordinates with the wallpaper design. Hot glue them in place.
- To finish it off, you can add ribbon to the back to be able to hang it. I used burlap ribbon, looped it, and used hot glue and duck tape to secure it in place.
And that’s it! So easy, inexpensive, and so beautiful!
