High-End Fall Decor Ideas On A Budget

I’m going to start this post with a question……What is “High-End Fall Decor”? Or, what is High-End home decor in general? I’ll give you my, unofficial, definition……It is decor that looks like it was made with expensive materials or purchased in a high-end boutique or store. There…that’s my definition of what high end Fall decor is. Ok, so maybe there’s a better definition somewhere, but I think it works. And who doesn’t love high-end looking decor, right? They are beautiful, durable and they tend to be on the larger side. However, the reality is that, although we would all like to decorate our home with high-end decor, not all of us can afford it. And this is why I love what I do.

I love taking inexpensive, and at times, unusual items and turning them into beautiful, high-end looking decor. And I love doing it for every single season.

For example, let’s say I were to take a wired basket from the office isle at the Dollar Tree and turn it into a beautiful piece of Fall decor, would you believe me?! Well…..that’s exactly what I did on a recent video. I created a Fall wreath using a wired basket from the Dollar Tree and it came out absolutely stunning! Seriously. And not only did I make this wreath, I also created several more Fall decor that will blow your mind when you see them. And the best part is; they were all created on a budget.

Get A Custom, High-End Look With Dollar Tree Pumpkin Signs

Dollar Tree currently has isles and isles full of Fall decor, and I’m loving it! They have tons of options and styles to chose from. And, although I think many of them are absolutely beautiful, I do think they are often too small for my own space. So, what do I do? I use them, glue them, paint them and recreate them into larger, more high-end looking decor! The key is to use them as canvases and add paint, stencils, florals, ribbon and anything else you need to turn them into the style you need and are looking for your home.

Taking $1.25 Dollar Tree items and crafting them into beautiful decor is one of my favorite things to do on my channel. And I have tons of inspiration there for you. From quick and easy, 5 minute crafts, to more intricate ones, I have it all.

You can watch here πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡ how I took Dollar Tree Pumpkin Signs and turned them into high-end Fall decor that is perfect for any style!

Why You Should Be Buying Dollar Tree Fabric

In the past couple of years Dollar Tree has upped their game when it comes to their Crafter’s Square Isles. They’ve added so many new and fantastic crafting supplies; from wood pieces, to a wide selection of florals.

On one of my recent trips to their crafting isles, I noticed a couple of boxes filled with fabric rolls. I hadn’t seen them before and didn’t even know so many design options were available! There’s not much fabric in each roll, but there’s enough to make beautiful crafts, pillows and custom diy home decor.

Since Fall crafting season is upon us, I decided to grab a bunch of rolls with Fall colors and designs. These colors were bright and so vibrant, I instantly knew I wanted to make a dedicated video on how to use these beautiful fabric to create stunning Fall DIY crafts.

On this πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡ video, you can watch the step-by-step tutorial how I made very easy, but absolutely beautiful, DIY Crafts for Fall using Dollar Tree Fabric.

Have you ever walked down a gift bag isle at a store and think to yourself, “wow, these bags would make beautiful home decor?” No?? Hmmm……maybe it’s just me πŸ€” πŸ˜‚

All joking aside; I have definitely thought this, especially at the Dollar Tree where all gift bags; small, large and all in between are $1.25!!!

Creative Ways To Use Dollar Tree Vinyl

Have you seen or used Dollar Tree’s Vinyl? I believe it’s safe to say that Dollar Tree has done a fantastic job creating and building an amazing crafting isle; the Crafter’s Square. I often find new and exciting things I can craft with.

I recently saw and entire section dedicated to vinyl rolls and vinyl weeding tools. I was so excited to try them!

Although, I don’t believe Dollar Tree’s Vinyl’s quality is as good as the more expensive brands, I do think it’s a great value, considering all the creative options you have. You can craft so many things with them. Although, I wouldn’t use it with my cutting machine, I’m definitely excited to use them for other crafting projects. The possibilities are endless.

On my recent video I showcased several ways you can craft with Dollar Tree’s Vinyl. You can watch the step-by-step tutorial here πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡. I hope it inspires you!

Thrifted 90’s Wood Bench Makeover

I have been flipping furniture for a few years now and this makeover has to be one of my top 5 furniture flips! This poor bench was so neglected, dirty, beat up and, just simply, outdated. The moment i saw it on Facebook Marketplace I knew I had to buy it and give it new life.

It is now beautiful, fresh, and so darling.

You can watch the full transformation here πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡, or you can read the steps below. I also have tons of other furniture flips and DIY Home Decor on my YouTube Channel.

Today’s blog post is in collaboration with some amazing and talented ladies. They are as obsessed as i am about thrifting and upcycling. At the bottom of this post you’ll find more information about them well as the link to their post. Make sure to head on over to them and get inspired!

The first thing I had to do was remove the upper back board with the 90s hearts and replace it with a simple 1×4 board for a more modern look.

I then shop vacuumed it and cleaned it very, very well. Sanded it down a bit with my orbital sander and a 150 grit sandpaper. I dusted it very well and gave it one FULL coat of Shellac. This will help prevent any bleed-through after the white paint is applied.

Once the Shellac was dry, I gave it one coat of Killz, stain-blocking primer and let that dry completely.

Once the primer was dry I added two coats of chalk paint from Mango Paint. I distressed the edges of the bench with my orbital sander and 150 grit sandpaper, for a more farmhouse look.

I then added a French stencil to the front with Dark gray chalk paint. You can find this and other reusable stencils on my Amazon Store. I sealed the stencil with a spray top coat and then sealed the entire bench with Verathane Polyurethane in Crystal Clear. I added two coats of the sealer.

I staged it with a Summer wreath and that’s it! This 90s, neglected, beat-up and dirty bench is now fresh, clean and absolutely beautiful. It will soon be posted on Facebook Marketplace once again in search of a new forever home!

Alright…..Here are the lovely and talented ladies that will have you running to the thrift store! Enjoy!

Using $1 Items To Create High End Decor

I’m sure you’ve see many DIYers create home decor out of dollar store items, and if you’re on a tight budget, but still want a “custom” look….this is a great option for you. However, let’s be real not all things from the dollar store have a high end look. Right?? Often it will require some DIY to make it your own style.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to DIY Home Decor. And the beauty is that you can truly customize it to the style and color scheme you need. On this post you’ll learn how i customized home decor to fit my style and color scheme using dollar store items.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when looking to DIY your own home decor using dollar store items.

  1. Don’t over complicate it. Look at the items at the dollar store and pick those that you feel a strong attraction to.
  2. Unless you are intentionally looking to make different styles, stay within one color scheme. It helps with staying on a budget and keep the decor cohesive and more high-end looking
  3. Dollar store decor is often perfect for an added touch or detail to a home. In my opinion, it’s not meant to decorate your entire home. However, if this is what you intend to do….stick to bigger items.
  4. Remember thrift store finds. Thrift store finds are another great way to add a custom look to your home without breaking the bank. Again….you may need to paint them and update them, but stick to the main style or color scheme.
  5. Keep the decor simple. I always tend to side with the side if simplicity. I think it makes decor look higher end and more classy. But…. always stay true to yourself. If you like more embellished decor, then go for it. Whatever works best for you.
