Vibrant leaves will soon carpet the ground, and a crisp autumn breeze will fill the air. It’s the perfect time to embrace the season’s spirit with a delightful DIY pumpkin wreath project. Today, I’ll guide you through the enchanting process of creating a captivating wreath shaped like a pumpkin, using affordable and easily accessible items from Dollar Tree.
With a touch of creativity, a pinch of resourcefulness, and a dash of Dollar Tree magic, you’ll soon have a stunning seasonal centerpiece to adorn your front door or spruce up your home decor.
So, let’s dive into this whimsical autumn adventure together and unlock the secrets to crafting a pumpkin wreath that will surely leave everyone in awe!
- The first thing you’ll want to do is buy a pumpkin, wire wreath form from Dollar Tree. These are large and perfect to craft with this fall season.
- You’ll also need six and a half nautical ropes from Dollar Tree.
- We are going to wrap the wreath form with the nautical rope in a basket weave style. Start by hot gluing one end of a rope to one bottom corner of the wreath form.
- Then, continue to weave in and out each nautical rope, hot gluing, and cutting as needed.
- Once the entire wreath form is covered, free-hand a larger stem for the pumpkin using foam core from Dollar Tree. I made mine about 8 inches tall.
- Then, cut with an exacto knife or a blade knife.
- Add hot glue to the bottom of it
- And attach it to the front of the wire stem on the wreath form.
- Wrap the new stem with ribbon of choice. I used burlap ribbon and hot glued it in place.
- You can add any decor on it. I chose to stack three different bows on top of each other, hot gluing and tying as needed. I made two bows using fall ribbon from Dollar Tree and topped it off with a pre-made bow from Dollar Tree.
- You can add flowers and anything else you’d like.
And that’s it! What do you think? This is such a beautiful wreath for fall!
