I absolutely love the thrill of going to the thrift store and finding hidden gems I can flip and upcycle. I’ll flip any thrift store find, but one of my favorite are picture frames. They are just so versatile and there are so many ways they can be used.
Throughout the many years I have flipped thrift store picture frames, I’ve found multiple ways to upcycle them into new and exciting purposes like, shadow boxes, centerpieces, picture holders, and so much more.
What excites me the most about upcycling and flipping picture frames is that they can be painted, stained, textured, distressed, among other techniques. My favorite way is adding tons of texture with either spackle, caulk, or molds, and then painting and distressing it. It gives the such a custom look!
On a recent video I took several picture frames and gave them bran new looks! Let me tell you; these picture frames are now absolutely stunning and do not look at all like the original state.
