Whether you’re looking to create a romantic ambiance for a special dinner, surprise your loved ones with a thoughtful gift, or simply add a touch of Valentine’s Day spirit to your home, this mason jar craft is the perfect solution. So, grab your mason jars and let’s get crafting!
Take a large mason jar from the dollar store, remove the lid, and remove any dust from it. You can save it for another craft!
Now, take any wrapping paper with a Valentine’s Day design cut a piece larger than the area around the mason jar. Tear the edges to give it a relaxed, torn look. You can use any type of wrapping paper if you would like to use this mason jar craft for any other season or holiday.
You can layer any ribbon that will compliment the look. I decided to tear drop cloth into a piece that was about one inch thick and long enough to go around the mason jar. I love layering things, but you can use just one ribbon if you’d like.
Let’s put everything together. Attach the wrapping paper around the mason jar and secure with tape or hot glue. I used double-sided tape.
Attach the drop cloth around the mason jar, over the wrapping paper and secure with hot glue. I used my SureBonder cordless hot glue gun.
Wrap jute string around the mason jar, over the drop cloth and tie in a simple bow. You can also use another thinner ribbon if you do not have jute string.
Cut out, or hole punch a heart-shaped piece using craft paper with a design that compliments the overall look. Then hot glue it on the center of the bow. I used a heart-shaped hole puncher I got on Amazon. You can use any other sticker shape you’d like to compliment the overall design.
You can leave it as is, but I decided to add a heart-shaped sticker from the dollar store on the corner of the first heart.
Add any flowers to the mason jar, and that’s it! You can also add a faux candle or fairy lights to the inside of the jar for a beautiful glow at night. What a gorgeous and super easy craft you can make in minutes for Valentine’s Day!
