How To Use DOLLAR TREE Rings

Talk about a totally high-end looking item at Dollar Tree! On a recent trip to Dollar Tree I came across these beautiful brass rings. They come three in a pack, in three sizes. The color is already stunning, but, of course, you can spray paint if you’d like.

They are made from a great, durable metal material, but easy to cut using wire cutters. I snatched 2 sets and brought them home.

On a recent video I posted on my YouTube channel, I used these brass rings to make absolutely stunning Christmas decorations.

I made a super glam, high-end looking Christmas wreath with bulbs and greenery.

I also created an adorable snowman by using a small and a medium ring. I also created a unique wreath using drop cloth, that would look fantastic in a front door. And I also made a, lighted wreath by adding a battery operated lighted star to it.

Super Festive Handmade CHRISTMAS Decor

Christmas crafting is very common during the weeks leading to Christmas Day. Especially when it comes to making handmade Christmas decor. Many love it and do it Evey year, and others want to but fear it won’t be “good” enough to look Christmassy or festive enough.

I have for you some quick tips on how you can make your own Christmas Decorations on a budget and still look professional and very festive.

1. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Start with visiting dollar stores, or dollar spots at Target. Find festive decorations that you like and go with the theme of your decorations.

2. Find some decorative accents that you can add to these decorations to take them to the next level. Greenery picks, ribbon, berry picks, etc.

3. Now start adding these decorative accents to the Dollar items you found to make them more festive.

4. Don’t be afraid to use the decorations found at the dollar store as accents themselves. If you have a scrap wood board, or even foamcore, you can make a cute Christmas sign.

On the following video I give you four examples on how you can take inexpensive Christmas decor and turn them into custom, one of a kind, festive decor you’d be proud to display for all to see.

CHRISTMAS Handmade Decor To Flip About

If you’ve been following me here on my blog or on my YouTube Channel you know that I LOVE a good thrift store flip. But when it’s a Christmas theme one….it’s my absolute favorite!

Through the years of thrifting and flipping I’ve learned quite a bit about what to do, what not to do, and I want to share some tips on what to keep in mind when flipping thrift store finds.

  1. First, don’t be afraid to go large. If you see a piece at the thrift store that is large and has great bones, get it! You’d be surprised how easy and inexpensive it is to give a large, old piece a new, fresh look.
  2. Keep it simple. Don’t over think how you can flip an item. Sometimes all it takes is a can of paint, a couple of scrap wood boards and some decorative items, to give a wow factor to an old piece.
  3. Don’t over do it and know when to stop. This goes for any handmade decor. I am a huge fan of simplicity and have learned to know when to stop adding decorative items to get the perfect look.
  4. When in doubt, paint it white. I love white. I could paint everything white and be totally fine with it. 😂 Ok…maybe not everything, but seriously, when in doubt paint it white and go from there. It will instantly feel fresh, new and like a white canvas… literally.

Ok, so these are some things to keep in mind and now you can watch some of my recent flips and get tons of inspiration.

The thrift store flips you’ll see on this video are some of my favorite…and safely to say some of my best flips. They are large, durable and quality-made.
